The national Legislative Branch, the Nation Assembly is formed of citizens with the authority to enact laws and vote based on the meritocracy system.
The Nation Assembly is a direct democracy system in which all people of the Nation Realm of Deliverance vote using the meritocracy system. Deliverance citizens make policy decisions without the assistance of an intermediary or representation, whereas in representative democracies across the world, people vote for representatives who subsequently implement policy choices. The Deliverance Nation Assembly's direct democracy system, as outlined in its constitution, includes the use of sortition, the creation of legislation, the appointment of Tribunes and Arbiters, and the conduct of trials, to mention a few.
The major body of the legislative branch is the Deliverance Nation assembly, which is a direct democracy system consisting of its citizens; the boulê, which is made up of Citizens and Tribunes; and the court, which is made up of Citizens and Arbiters but no judges. All Deliverance citizens are required to engage and become politically active.
The Nation Realm of Deliverance direct democracy system is unique in that it not only gathers its residents to make choices, but it also allows Deliverance citizens to control the bulk of the political process through the Nation Assembly, boulê, and law court. Most current democracies are representational rather than direct, and hence do not resemble the Deliverance system.
